This month I read the next installment in the Emily series by Katie Maxwell. In this book Emily goes to France for two weeks over spring break to try to learn French after faking it in her first two terms of school. Of course she would not be Emily Williams unless she caused major mayhem in Paris! It all begins when she gets stuck carrying a fake crying babydoll around as part of a school project because she failed the chance she had at turning the baby back over to the school on time. In Paris, between being robbed by Gammins, getting locked in Notre Dame overnight, having a major rollerblading accident involving a bunch of people, and having an (adventerous) canal boat ride- to say the least- this book only gets stranger the longer it goes... Emily also turns seventeen while in Paris, where her boyfriend Devon visits her. She plans to have sex with him, but will she? This book is by far the strangest in the series so far, and while not my favourite in the series, is still a good read, and great for a good laugh. I give it 4 stars.
I am a British Girl living in the Midwestern USA. I moved here after leaving University for about the third time to get a break and figure things out, but will be returning again soon once and for all to finish! I have a sense for adventure and love to try new things. Traveling is one of my favourite things!! If I had my way I would never be in one place for long. I also enjoy music, skiing, snowboarding, and basically all winter sports :) This blog is for everyone who wants to know what is going on with me :)
